SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop services linking Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The new route will operate four times per week, broadening the airline’s route network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves the Jordanian capital. The addition of this route provides travelers with a second option for flying into Amman and enhances the airline’s scheduled Jordan connections.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the new route are now available through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new service enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan routes, which currently include flights from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route will extend the group’s network to include another departure point within the UAE, while maintaining its current services to Jordan.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new route offers travelers access to a second airport in Amman. He emphasized that this will provide more convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, over a month before its scheduled launch. The service will run alongside the airline’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own route to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation also serves Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers from the UAE capital two options for flying into Amman. In April, Air Arabia stated that the combined weekly flights from both Abu Dhabi routes reached 10 when the second airport service started.
Sharjah route introduces four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
The newly launched Sharjah service, operating with flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, follows a consistent four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft for its broader network. Passengers can also enjoy features like SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard menu, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Bookings for the Amman City Airport flights are now open through the airline’s official sales channels ahead of the November 15 start date.
This expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s Jordan routes via Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi provides services to both airports from Abu Dhabi, while Alexandria offers direct flights to Amman City Airport. The November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further expanding the group’s regional network.
